Method:
Fix the cloves into the wedge of lemon and put into a heat resistant or latte glass. Add all the other ingredients one by one topping up with hot water last of all. Stir gently and serve.
Additional notes:
The traditional Hot Toddy recipe is made with whisky but we prefer this French twist on a well known classic with its lovely warming flavours and its pronounced herbal and spicy tones. With thanks to Adam Freeth of Shaker UK BarSchool for recommending this great variation on the traditional Hot Toddy recipe made using Scotch whisky.
Garnish:
A cinnamon stick – which also gives extra flavour.
