For cocktail recipes which need blending with ice, place ingredients and ice into a blender and blend until it reaches a smooth consistency. Add the liquid ingredients into the blender first and adding the ice cream or ice at the end.
For the best results, use crushed ice as this will reduce the wear and tear on the blades of the blender. For blenders with variable speeds start on a slow speed first and build up.
Good examples of cocktails using the blending method would be a Strawberry Shortcake using De Kuyper Crème de Cacao White and Disaronno Amaretto or the Bananas and Cream which is a recipe perfectly enhanced by De Kuyper Crème de Bananes.
